A little bit about me…

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Perinatal Mood Disorder Specialist located in La Crescenta, CA. I graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a Masters in Social Welfare in 2008 with a specialty in Mental Health. Prior to that I received my Bachelor's degree from California State University, Chico in Social Work. My previous work has been helping individuals, especially women, in community mental health and homeless service settings in Los Angeles County.

I am a Trauma-Informed therapist working from a Strength’s Based perspective. I am certified in Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy. I utilize techniques from Somatic Psychotherapy and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (MBCBT) and Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) in my work with clients. I am also certified in Perinatal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International.

I specialize in Maternal Mental Health because parents need better support during their journey to and in parenthood. It is such a vulnerable time for the mother, but also the whole family. Having a skilled therapist that you can connect with in this transition is key to navigating this vulnerable time.

My goal is to empower my clients to thrive, promoting emotional well-being and supporting healthy family dynamics.

My approach to perinatal therapy is rooted in a deep understanding of the unique emotional and psychological experiences that pregnant individuals and new parents may face. I offer a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their feelings, fears, and concerns, while providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions to promote mental and emotional well-being.
